- vases - to be filled with fresh cut flowers -- signs of Creation, new life, and beauty
- cloths - to be draped over almost any small table (or just spread on the ground) to create the base of an altar
- candles and lighters - reminders of God's presence
- tissues - for when the feelings flow
All you need to create sacred space, holy ground.

All the same essentials that belong on a kitchen table! Why I've long advocated buying white tablecloths for the kitchen and dining room, and filling the oft-empty kitchen vase with flowers. In college, my friends and I used to buy ourselves flowers all the time from this amazing flower shop in Syracuse. They made us feel alive in the midst of winter. Symbolic? Talk amongst yourself. Love you.
